Welcome to the KC Workshop Issue! This newsletter is dedicated to highlighting the sessions and activities we have planned for our Kansas City workshop Sept. 28th-29th. We really hope you can come, it promises to be our best one yet!
All sessions will be held at GreenEarth's home offices, giving us the flexibility to be more interactive and hands on, and to offer topics at multiple times so that you can sign up for the sessions that best meet your particular interests and needs. Read about all the topics we will be covering below, then register on the Events Calendar page of the Affiliate website. Join Jim Douglas, Joe Blaha and our vendor partners from Adco, A.L. Wilson, Fabritec, Sanitone, Seitz, Streets, FMB, Columbia/Ilsa and Firbimatic for some 1:1 consultation time. This session will give you the opportunity to cover your questions and draw on some of the best technical representatives the industry has to offer!

Join Jim Barry and Ron Benjamin for a 1:1 session to discuss any questions you may have regarding operations, maximizing profits or if you are looking for a second opinion about an opportunity or goal you have for your business.
In this session, Jim will offer insights, gleaned from his experience running more than 400 stores, on marketing smarter, making your stores more visible in the community, analyzing growth opportunities through acquisition from the seller and buyer perspectives (tax advantages, cash flow analysis, financing, etc.) and managing on the ground construction. Ron will share tips, collected from the purchase and sale of seven different businesses, on negotiating your new lease, buying new locations, selling your business and getting the most out of your bank. |

Email Marketing- sessions running Friday and Saturday
|

In this session, we will familiarize you with GreenEarth’s email marketing service and, if you want to sign up, assist you through the process, allowing you to walk out with a 12 month long email campaign in place. Micah Sonderman will be on hand to offer 1:1 consultation to help you optimize and/or customize your campaign and explain how to format your list. Bring your laptop, if you own one, for it will be useful for this session.
You can learn about our email-marketing program prior to the workshop by participating in a webinar and/or visiting the email-marketing link in our Affiliate site. Easy and affordable and customized for you, the base plans average $19, $32 or $39 a month, depending on how often you elect to send emails out. We also offer optional, low cost add-ons to automatically email new customers, lost tunas and customers with birthdays.

Join the folks from Digital Lagoon, our website partner for an introduction to the GreenEarth Affiliate Website Program. Digital Lagoon, is a local company known for expertise in website development and we are pleased to have partnered with them to bring affordable, customizable websites to GreenEarth Affiliates for as little as $200.00. The new websites utilitze GreenEarth imagery and are perfect for those in need of a website or anyone who would like to update their current site.

Marketing 101- Session Saturday 8am - 11am only

This interactive Marketing 101 session is designed to help you with the basics of setting up or refining your marketing program.
Stacy Sopcich will cover a range of topics: setting a budget, prioritizing your time and available monies, analyzing the competition, creating a year long plan with the help of a planning calendar, striking the right balance between attracting new customers and building loyalty with existing customers and assessing your options for each, the role of an online presence and alternatives to achieve it via, websites, Google Places, social media and SEO.

Social Marketing Kick Start- Sessions Friday and Saturday

Know you want to be in the social media space but not sure how to get started? This session is for you!
Kelsey McLellan will talk you through the ins and outs of Facebook and Twitter and walk you through the process of setting up accounts for your store. Learn how social media can benefit your business!

Live Spotting Demonstrations- Friday and Saturday
|
|
|

Roland Dobbins from Seitz will be on hand to perform a live spotting demo. We will have industry representatives from Adco, A.L. Wilson, Fabritec, Seitz and Streets for individual consultation.
Bring along a few problem garments for our detergent partners to demonstrate how to safely remove stains using their products.

GreenEarth 101 Session Saturday
|
|

Tim Maxwell will take you through the basics of GreenEarth from the way in which it cleans to the benefits to you as an operator. You will see why with GreenEarth, everyday is Earth Day. This session is suitable for those of you wishing to brush up on your knowledge of the GreenEarth difference and for those of you who are wanting to know more about GreenEarth from machinery options, technical attributes to marketing benefits. Tim will also touch on new technology to market, provide an overview of what’s happening with GreenEarth around the world and answer your questions on all things GreenEarth.
